Shopping Centre

The construction project at Carton Park Shopping Centre involved building a shopping center, a Tesco Format 80 Supermarket on stilts, and associated site works. This was the first Format 80 Tesco store in Ireland and was also Tesco's largest development site to date. The project included the construction of a 317,000 sq. ft development on a 9.1 hectare site, which incorporated 16 retail units (totaling 162,000 sq. ft) and a 120,000 sq. ft anchor store. The project also involved upgrading the exterior of 11 existing retail units. The end result was a modern, fully-functional shopping destination that met the needs of the local community and beyond.
