Bray Civic Centre

The project at Bray Civic Center involved the demolition and strip-out of existing elements, followed by the fit-out of classrooms, offices, welfare facilities, and associated services over four floors. To accommodate early access for the new academic year, PCL reduced the contract programme by six weeks by increasing resources and implementing sub-contractor specific designated work areas and phasing. The project was completed using a design and build approach, which allowed PCL to collaborate with MCOH architects and utilize value engineering at the design level to maximize control of the project budget and quality. To ensure a smooth transition for the client, PCL provided a phased floor-by-floor handover, allowing for administration to be completed prior to the start of academic operations. The end result was a fully-functional educational facility that was delivered on time and within budget.
